Q-Block Computing

Challenge

Q-Block, a Canadian quantum technology company, developed advanced products such as a quantum timing system, photonic platform, and memory system. However, the company faced slow procurement processes and difficulty building visibility with federal decision-makers, particularly in securing defence-related adoption. These delays hindered their ability to demonstrate value and accelerate product uptake in critical government programs.

Strategy

StrategyCorp built a government relations and procurement strategy centred on Q-Block’s sovereign, dual-use quantum technology narrative. The plan identified key federal stakeholders—including the Department of National Defence and Public Services and Procurement Canada—and outlined an engagement sequence supported by a clear value proposition. StrategyCorp facilitated introductions, briefings, and positioning materials to raise Q-Block’s profile and address procurement bottlenecks.

Outcome

Within two months, Q-Block’s technologies were successfully socialized across the defence sector. Relationships were deepened with key decision-makers, and PSPC expedited several ongoing testing and development contracts—streamlining approvals and establishing Q-Block as a priority Canadian innovator.
