Joanne McPherson is a Consultant at StrategyCorp. She brings more than 30 years of experience in journalism, strategic communications, and organizational leadership, with expertise in reputation management, stakeholder engagement, executive communications, crisis and issues management, change leadership, public engagement, and strategic planning.
Prior to joining StrategyCorp, Joanne held several senior leadership roles at CBC News, where she led programming, audience engagement, organizational change, communications, marketing and branding, and research for the News division of Canada’s public broadcaster. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her collaborative approach and strategic insight, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor who helps leaders and organizations communicate with clarity, authenticity, and purpose.
In 2025, Joanne was appointed a Fellow in the Clayton H. Riddell Graduate Program in Political Management at Carleton University, reflecting her ongoing commitment to public policy and professional excellence.
Joanne holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Journalism from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University.
