Jamie Rockingham

Consultant

Jamie is a Senior Consultant at StrategyCorp. He has studied and worked in the fields of public policy, nuclear energy, emergency management, and Indigenous self-determination, while concurrently completing a Bachelor of Honours in Emergency Management from York University then a Master of Public Policy from the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy.

While working for Emergency Management Ontario, Jamie supported multilateral coordination among Indigenous, federal, provincial, and municipal partners during times of crisis. This experience continues to influence his approach to community programming and stakeholder relations.

Jamie has led and supported programming initiatives to improve public safety in the event of a nuclear emergency in Ontario, including contributing to the development of the Provincial Nuclear Emergency Response Plan. Through his exposure to the nuclear industry, Jamie has developed a strong understanding of issues management related to Canada’s nuclear energy regulatory framework. He chose to write his final paper on Canadian regulatory challenges related to Small Modular Reactors and the opportunities the nuclear energy sector can create for Canada.

Prior to his education, Jamie was a wildland firefighter in the community of Chapleau, Ontario, serving for two years as an Initial Attack Incident Commander. He continues to follow the industry closely.
