Vice President

Danya is a Vice President at StrategyCorp and deploys StrategyCorp’s integrated service offering to provide comprehensive solutions to public and private sector clients operating at the intersection of business, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy. She leverages her understanding of the political and stakeholder landscape from a decade and a half of experience working in political offices, the civil service, and the private sector, along with her work guiding major organizations through transformative change.​ At StrategyCorp, Danya advises many clients in the health and human services, life sciences, capital development, and innovation spaces, helping them to increase their profile, build strategic partnerships, and develop their public policy case for government.

Through her work, Danya develops and advocates for progressive public policies on community, national, and international issues. She builds strong relationships with her clients and works with them to understand and leverage their unique value proposition within their operating environments and in their relationships with government. She has worked with clients in all stages of development and needs, from establishing new organizations to cement strategic partnerships to aligning existing business and strategic plans with changing government priorities.

Danya brings a dynamic perspective to her approach to clients, developed through her experience in the Canadian federal public service, federal politics, and non-governmental organizations and her understanding of the inter-relationships between these sectors. Prior to joining StrategyCorp, Danya served as a Policy Advisor to the Interim Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, the Honourable Bob Rae, where she was responsible for policy development related to foreign affairs, international trade and development, and multiculturalism. She previously worked as a Policy Analyst in the Department of Public Safety’s International Affairs Division, where she contributed to strategic policy development on multilateral and bilateral relations and international security engagements. Danya has also consulted for private sector clients, specializing in the Middle East, as well as working with non-government media and research groups in Israel.

Danya is very active in community impact at the local level. She is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of United Way East Ontario and a Director of the Board of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa. She was a recipient of the 2019 Forty under 40 Award, bestowed upon next generation business leaders by the Ottawa Board of Trade.

Danya holds a Masters of Science degree in History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and an Honours Bachelor’s degree in History from McGill University.
