Paul Brown

Public Policy & Real Estate

Paul has a broad range of government and public policy experience at the federal, provincial and municipal levels. While his current focus is on energy and real estate matters, Paul has worked on healthcare, infrastructure, transportation, financial services, income trusts, insolvency, and regulatory matters. Paul has also provided advice to corporate boards amid crises caused by government and regulatory decisions.

From 1984 to 1988 Paul held senior economic policy positions with Ministers in the Conservative government; he focused on privatization, Crown corporation oversight, and labour matters. Paul remains actively involved in politics at all three levels of government. In 2006 he was Ontario Co-Chair of the national Conservative Party campaign. He has chaired numerous Toronto municipal campaigns and continues to volunteer on campaigns at the provincial and municipal level.

From 2006 to 2012 Paul served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Enwave Energy Corporation – one of the largest district energy companies in North America. He currently serves on the Board of Wyse Meter, a Canadian leader in using technology to improve the management of energy consumption in the real estate sector.

Paul was as Chairman of the Board of the Sandbox Project for 12 years. He served on the boards of the Canadian Jewish Congress and Beth Tzedek Synagogue, and was the President of the Oakdale Golf & Country Club from 2008 to 2010.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Laws, University of Western Ontario (LL.B.), and a Bachelor of Science in Economics (B.Sc.) from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
