Stephen Barber
Vice President
Stephen is the Vice President of StrategyCorp’s Western Canada region.
Stephen has long been relied on by senior executives across multiple subject areas for providing strategic advice and solutions. He has spent the bulk of his career between the Federal and Provincial (Manitoba) public service, including work in agriculture, healthcare, capital assets, and with Manitoba’s Treasury Board Secretariat. His time with the Government of Manitoba culminated in his service as Assistant Deputy Minister for Strategic Policy at the Economic Development Board Secretariat, where he spearheaded significant files including leading Manitoba’s investment in Arctic Gateway Group to rebuild the Hudson Bay Rail line, energy policy, and working with companies to identify and reduce barriers to foreign and domestic investment.
Stephen also has almost two decades of volunteer experience. He has given his time as Treasurer at his local community club, judging international law competitions, and as President of a Winnipeg-based political club. Stephen currently volunteers his time as President of the Conservative Party of Canada.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Finance from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s of Science from the School of Oriental and African Studies at University of London, and a Master of Laws in International Economic Law from the University of Edinburgh.
