Stacy Hushion
Vice President
Stacy is a Vice President in StrategyCorp’s Government Relations and Management Consulting services. Stacy combines rigorous evidence-based analysis with political acuity and strategic thinking in all of her client engagements. With a strong background in research, policy development and stakeholder engagement, she is passionate about supporting clients in identifying their strategic priorities and building the capacity required to achieve their goals.
An experienced municipal practitioner and leader in StrategyCorp’s Municipal Services Practice Group, Stacy has assisted dozens of municipalities across Ontario with strategic planning project, Council and staff training, organizational and operational reviews, and intergovernmental affairs.
Stacy has also worked with major municipal associations, including the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO), the Association of Municipal Managers, Clerks and Treasurers of Ontario (AMCTO) and the Ontario Big City Mayors (OBCM), giving her a strong understanding of the municipal landscape, the diversities, and distinct challenges therein, as well as the sensitivity and acuity needed to engage at both the political and staff levels. She is also one of the authors of StrategyCorp’s Annual Chief Administrative Officer Survey, which offers a snapshot of key issues and challenges in the municipal sector, as described by Ontario’s most senior municipal public servants.
Prior to joining StrategyCorp, she served as Chief of Staff to Toronto City Councillor Jaye Robinson. In addition to advising on local and citywide political issues, Stacy provided strategic support to the Councillor in her prior role as Chair of Public Works and Infrastructure. She played a pivotal role in steering key policy initiatives and challenges through the City Council process, including the Vision Zero Road Safety Plan, Ten Year Cycling Network Plan and Long Term Waste Management Strategy.
Stacy holds an MA and PhD from the University of Toronto.
