Lorraine has earned a diverse range of experience in the public and private sectors. This comprehensive knowledge has provided Lorraine with a unique perspective on community building: she understands how interconnected factors shape communities. Lorraine provides solutions based on efficiency and common sense to ensure that real estate development and infrastructure intersect in an optimized and meaningful way – one that benefits both business interests and the interests of the community in which it operates.
By devising creative and pragmatic solutions that include both the private and public sector, Lorraine’s goal is to help create integrated, sustainable and vibrant communities that will grow and thrive for generations to come. Throughout her career, Lorraine has driven successful results in various senior leadership roles for Metrolinx, the Regional Municipality of Durham, Infrastructure Ontario, and the Ontario Realty Corporation, and through her own consulting practice; Lorraine Huinink Design and Consulting Services – LHDC.
Lorraine is also committed to contributing to community building through her volunteer efforts. Presently, Lorraine is a Board Member of Lamba Alpha International, Simcoe Chapter. Lorraine also sits on the Board of Habitat for Humanity GTA, where she is a Member of the Governance & Nominating Committee, Board representative on the Retail Services Advisory Council and Chair of the Land Build Committee.
