Kyle Sholes

Kyle is a Manager in StrategyCorp’s Government Relations practice who brings diverse experience from the Ontario government.

Kyle served as the Chief of Staff to Ontario’s Associate Minister of Transportation, supporting the implementation of the government’s transit expansion projects across Toronto and the GTA. Kyle was previously the Director of Legislative Affairs and Issues Management to Ontario’s Minister of Finance. At the Ministry of Finance, Kyle contributed to the policy development and strategic communications rollout of the Ford government’s fiscal and economic plans – including Ontario’s Action Plan: Responding to COVID-19. Working hand-in-hand with key decision makers throughout the budget process, Kyle has an in-depth understanding of the provincial political landscape.

Kyle has also worked with the Ontario Legislature Internship Program, a non-partisan program which places its participants in the office of both a government and opposition Member of Provincial Parliament. This experience gave him expertise in the provincial legislative process as well as a multi-partisan lens through which to view policy and communications decisions. He has also conducted research in the natural resources sector for a prominent Canadian think tank and holds a BA, Political Science from Huron University College where he continues to volunteer as an alumni mentor for current students.
