Rebecca Toombs

Rebecca is an Associate on the Communications Practice at StrategyCorp, who specializes in media relations, strategic communications planning, community engagement, content development, and policy research. She has supported clients across sectors, including healthcare, property management, tourism, and waste management, by developing media materials, leading media outreach efforts, and facilitating stakeholder engagement.
Prior to joining StrategyCorp, Rebecca was a Media Relations Intern at the Bank of Montreal where she contributed to bank initiatives by optimizing media monitoring software and pitching campaigns. Previously, she gained experience in the public sector, working for government agencies like the Canada Revenue Agency and Parks Canada. Rebecca is fluent in English and French, honing her skills through academic work and practical experiences. In 2021, Rebecca was honoured with a Killam Fellowship by Fulbright Canada.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with a French Minor from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Post-graduate Certificate in Public Relations from Humber College. Her global perspective was enriched by a semester abroad in the U.S. at Ithaca College in New York during her undergraduate studies.
