Alex is a Consultant in StrategyCorp’s Land Development and Municipal Affairs practice groups, who has a deep understanding of planning-related issues, transportation policy, infrastructure development, and municipal and provincial government.
Alex works with clients in both the public and private sectors to overcome challenges that their organizations face, by developing and implementing creative solutions to ensure successful outcomes. Alex’s practical knowledge and expertise in the planning field, and his personable and determined character are assets for clients who are seeking to achieve complex and ambitious goals.
Before joining StrategyCorp, Alex completed his Master of Planning at Dalhousie University, where he graduated top of his class. There, his studies focused on transportation and development-related issues. This included a major research project for the Halifax Regional Municipality to conduct an analysis on transit-oriented community development (TOCD) adjacent to rail corridors, which considered best practices for community building and safety. He has also worked on projects relating to urban design, residential developments, and empowering marginalized communities. Alex also holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Political Science and History from Western University.
