Erik De Lorenzi is a Consultant in StrategyCorp’s public affairs practice.
Since rejoining the firm, Erik has principally focused on providing strategic counsel to businesses navigating an increasingly complex international trade environment as well as financial transaction and infrastructure approval processes across highly-regulated sectors.
Previously, Erik has served as a finance and economic policy analyst at the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C., where he was tasked with examining developments across US tax, trade, housing, and financial regulatory policy. Additionally, Erik has interned with Scotiabank’s prime brokerage practice as a sales and trading summer analyst. At Scotiabank, Erik led multiple internal initiatives that improved the practice’s ability to serve alternative asset managers.
Erik recently graduated from the Masters in International Relations and Politics program at the University of Cambridge with Distinction (Top 10%). Erik also holds a Bachelors of Commerce (Honours) from Queen’s University, where he graduated on the Dean’s List with Distinction and was elected to the university’s Beta Gamma Sigma chapter. At Queen’s, Erik was a CIS All-Canadian as a member of the Varsity Rowing Team, a portfolio manager with a large student investment club, and a co-chair of the Queen’s Commerce Law Association.
Outside of work, Erik frequently volunteers his time to political initiatives in addition to serving as a guest lecturer on political economy at Queen’s University (Smith School of Business).
