Yael joined StrategyCorp in early 2020, and works as an Associate in the Management Consulting and Public Affairs Practices.
Her experience includes supporting Institute papers, municipal service delivery reviews, land development projects, policy research assignments, and government advocacy efforts.
Prior to joining StrategyCorp, Yael worked as a Policy Analyst with Canadian Heritage. There, she analyzed and assessed federal policy related to the Canadian film industry, with a specific focus on Indigenous filmmaking.
Yael also has experience in the not-for-profit sector in British Columbia, having worked for the BC Women’s Hospital Foundation and the Alzheimer Society of B.C. At these organizations, Yael was a member of the development, advocacy, education and programming teams. At the Alzheimer Society of B.C., she developed a policy guide for recreation centres across the province, that was designed to promote dementia-friendly policies and infrastructure.
Yael holds a BA in Economics from the University of British Columbia. She has a range of volunteer experiences, with involvement in sustainable and affordable food initiatives, urban sustainability movements, and newcomer settlement services.
