Mike is a Manager at StrategyCorp with over 13 years of experience working in the Ontario government, in both political and public service roles. Mike’s experience includes senior roles at the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, and Cabinet Office, where he has worked broadly across a range of communications issues – including crisis management, reputational risk management and media relations.

Most recently Mike served as the Director of Communications for Ontario’s Minister of Education where he provided strategic advice and executed communications tactics that contributed to passing four separate pieces of legislation. He also managed contentious issues related to Ontario’s child care sector, the Toronto District School Board and collective bargaining in the education sector. Mike also served as head of the writing team for Premier Kathleen Wynne’s successful 2014 election campaign.

Since joining StrategyCorp in January 2015, Mike has provided effective strategic communications and government relations advice to clients across a wide spectrum of industries, including the energy, financial services, transportation, health care, postsecondary education and construction sectors.
Mike is adept at providing clients with a clear understanding of how government works, its priorities and pressures and is experienced at presenting and providing advice to senior government officials, including Deputy Ministers, Ministers and MPPs. Mike holds an Honours B.A. in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University.
